This Roots. Wounds. Words. creative nonfiction workshop is open to BIPOC storytellers. In this literary container, participants will learn about, explore and craft narrative nonfiction that takes the shape of a non-literary text—such as a recipe, obituary or eviction notice. Participants will use found forms in novel ways, but retain the semantic resonance of the original. In this workshop, we will move beyond the traditional essay to craft compelling personal narratives that embody captivating capsules and excavate our lived experiences.

This offering is limited to 12 BIPOC storytellers.

Time: 11am ET - 2pm ET

Tuition: The program’s tuition is $50. However, this is a donation-based offering to support community needs at this time. To register with the suggested donation, purchase your ticket here. To register with a donation other than the suggested amount, please visit this offering’s Eventbrite site.
